Hump Month!

I'm gonna let you in on a little secret… February is hump month! It's the month when school seems to drag, and kids are dying to get outside and play! To keep school fun and interesting, we are going to have a week full of tickets!

So this is how it works… I will be handing tickets out to students who are on task, working hard, and being good members of the community. Throughout each day, I will pull a ticket from the raffle for particular prizes. I will hand out erasers, pencils and coupons! And yes! The pencil challenge is still on so you can't use your new pencil until you're out of the challenge! I promise, it will be a fun week!

Healthy Eating

Hey everyone! My daughter is applying for a scholarship and is doing a leadership project on healthy eating. She needs pictures to post on Instagram of kids eating foods with calcium! On March 3rd, we will be attending a field trip to the State Capitol (more info. to come).  I am allowed to take 2 chaperones with us to the field trip.  If you have your clearances and are interested in going, please email me by Monday, February 15th.  On Tuesday, February 16th, I will pull 2 names randomly from a bowl.

Fifth grade party time!

Today

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a productive day at school! My daughter isn't feeling well so I'm home today. I'm planning to see you tomorrow as long as she's feeling better! 

Pink group-make sure you have a paper copy of your piece of writing to turn in on Thursday. If you need me to print it for you, send it to the printer and I'll grab it in the morning. 

Also, our fifth grade party is tomorrow! All donations should be taken to the MPR.

Finally, don't forget our Valentine's exchange is on Friday.  If you are participating, please be sure to make one for everyone!
